This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated immediately. Legs of lacing glazed the sides of the glass decently.
The smell started off with the spicy hemp running into subtle sweet to bitter tones of citrus. Earthy to rustic aromas amplify the balance nicely.
The taste was the hemp spice up front and then the rustic/earthy portion coming in for some danky onion to settle it all out. Light spicy to semi-danky aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable feel. Spicy hemp does show the feel on the tongue, hmmm...and actually, I’m starting to feel the effects just a little bit.
Overall, as a saison, it kinda works, but I think they could probably scale back on the hemp a bit. Just kinda feelin’ it a bit and was hoping to go at another one tonight, not sure, might have to down some chips or something.
