Bottled 04/07/2016.
This was poured into a tulip
The appearance was a transparent bronzed/golden semi-burnt brown color with a nice transparency about it. Carbonation runs at a moderate pace upward to fill a slim finger-ed head that dissipates immediately. Messy lacing here and there.
The smell takes on sweet onion dankiness to coincide with some bright citrusy hoppy character, nicely blended.
The taste moderated between the sweet onion and the bright juicy citrusy hops. Semi-sweet onion aftertaste. Sweet wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sipping quality about it.. Carbonation runs fine as a DIPA. Enough bitterness, invasive harshness.
Overall, super nice DIPA, another knockout from their research series. I look forward to their next one!
