This was poured into a pint glass at the brewpub, yeah, well, I still got everything I believe they meant to put in this thing.
The appearance was the normal cloudy burnt yellow to orange color with a slim less than a finger’s worth of white foamy head. No lacing.
The smell had all of the normal characteristics of a great hefeweizen - spicy clove, banana esters, subtle bubblegum (really faint just saying).
The taste started off sweet through the banana esters and bubblegum. Spicy clove follows just a tad lighter. Nice sweet aftertaste leading into the same finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a crisp sessionably malty feel sliding along my tongue. Moves nicely.
Overall, the other hefeweizen, these guys do and its really good.
