Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy brown color with a decent cap of a white head. Light quickly dissipating foaminess laces the sides appropriately.
The aroma takes on some sweet and roasty nuts, definitely cashews and pecans come out strong. Next some breadiness along with toffee and caramel malts. Earthy hops serve to balance appropriately.
The flavor brings it all together nicely. Strong lingering sweet to roasty to bready aftertaste charging into the finish nicely.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Hops provide enough bitterness but not overly done.
Overall, a very well done English styled brown ale that I would have again.
