Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a semi-hazy ruddy burnt orange to brown color with a thin white cap of a head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild messy lace.
The aroma takes sharp sweet grassy and citrusy hops to surround a caramel malt base. Nuttiness invades appropriately.
The flavor brings all of that together decently. Light nutty to grassy aftertaste with some caramel sweetness. Sly nutty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation yields to a forgiving sharp nutty contrast beating at my tongue.
Overall, good American styled brown ale that I would have again.
