Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a black color with a thin white to off white foamy head that dissipates mildly. Moderate sticky lace.
The aroma starts off with roasty to bitter coffee bean. Some vanilla bean and then some cocoa beans are underneath.
The flavor leans roasty with the sweet edge coming in for a nice balance. Sly sweet aftertaste with a touch of roast also coming in to balance in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation yields a nice roasty to bitter rolling feel on my tongue.
Overall, nice porter that I would come back to.
