Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a nice one fingerโs worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Moderate messy lace.
The aroma starts with roasty coffee beans, brings in a nice subtle sweet sly chocolatey underneath.
The flavor keeps a nice balance between roast and sweet, the coffee to the chocolate and then some light sweet grainy tones. Light roasty aftertaste with a combined roasty to sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation feels good on my tongue.
Overall, good porter that I would have again.
