This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt mostly dark amber almost brown color. Bar pour’s kind of slim white head leaves no lacing.
The aroma has a solid sweet caramel to toffee malt up front with some butterscotch and then roasty nuts (very pecan-like but also somewhat like chestnuts). Hopped with sweet to bitter grassy tones, the flow of it all smells very nice.
The flavor leans nutty rich sweet and traces some of the caramel to toffee malt to rub a light balancing effect in this taste. Nice rich malty sweet smooth and clean aftertaste. Quick wet nutty smooth finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation leans fairly light and makes it a fairly easy going down amber ale for being 6%.
Overall, really nice amber ale that I could have again.
