Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6.5
Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a cloudy burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipates at a nice pace. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet to bitter grassy, citrus and piney hops. Subtle sweet wheatiness.
The flavor leans to the sweet side with subtle backing from the malts, wheaty with a grainy grip on my taste buds. Sweet hoppy and malty aftertaste with the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. Feels good as an AIPA.
Overall, good enough to have again. Thanks Doug.
