Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a nice fingerโs worth of white foamy head that died off at a nice pace. Moderate lace.
The aroma strikes at some semi-sharp piney bitterness to grassy sweet hops. Sly caramel malt base.
The flavor leads initially with the sweetness of the hops but ends up blending nicely with some of the bitter piney portion of the hops. Gentle but there. Melded between the hops and malts freely flowing into the aftertaste. Quick malted finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. Bitterness seems a bit lower than expected but good for what it is.
Overall, good AIPA that I could have again.
