Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a black color with a thin crispy bar pour’s kind of white, slim head. No lace.
The aroma had a sweet contour of vanilla bean, milk chocolate, sly breadiness, some caramel malts and a sly cake-iness to it.
The flavor wraps the previously mentioned aromas together fairly sweet and adds a sticky cake-like structure to flow into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Wet sort of feel rolling around, yes, fairly sticky and almost cloying.
Overall, decent aroma and flavor, but the feel seems to be grasping a certain slick/sort of almost cloying stickiness. Maybe again.
