Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown color with a cap of a white head that dissipated immediately barely leaving any lace.
The aroma had some soft milk chocolate tones with some sweet banana and then a light sweet creamy coffee-esque quality coming out as it warms.
The flavor stayed sweet throughout with the underlying sweet creamy coffee portion touching the milk chocolate and banana pretty nice. Sweet blended malty chocolate to banana aftertaste with the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation feels good. ABV feels appropriate.
Overall, though missing the clove spice and wheat bite, it’s a decent beer as is. Just not a true dunkelweizen.
