Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7
Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a fairly dark amber color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Sly lace.
The aroma had some sweet to roasty nuts, grassy hops and a nice clean bready malt bill.
The flavor combined those previously mentioned aromas quaintly leaning to the sweet side. Crisp sweet bready to nutty aftertaste. Sweet nuts in the finish, almost like peanuts, to be honest.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. Fairly smooth on the tongue.
Overall, decent amber ale to me. I didn’t mind that peanut-sweet finish, different but acceptable.
