Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a soft semi-cloudy amber color with a cap of a little white head. Dissipated into oblivion.
The aroma had some sweet biscuits, cereal and a light floral to grassy hoppiness.
The flavor leaned to the sweet side through the malts. The hops try to balance a soft bitterness to it, but that stays fairly light. Mostly malty smooth aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nicely done hellerbock that I would have again.
