Thanks Trevor.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange to copper color with a film of a white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Stringy filmy lace.
The aroma had some soft sweet and roasty nuts. Light toast, good caramel malt base. Dried fruitiness and then some figs.
The flavor blended nicely between the figs to the toast and malt base, semi-sweet with a touch of bitter. Slyly moves into the aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable sort of smooth feel strolling about my tongue. Good carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nicely done English strong ale worthy of having again.
