Thanks Trevor.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy pale copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at an even pace. Leaves some concave lace just sitting atop of the beer.
The aroma had some sweet grassy and citrusy hops up front and then sublte berry tones hitting the underneath. Rugged malt base attempts to blend but mainly sits in the background - somewhat like toast.
The flavor attempts to blend the malts to the hops and carry in the berry structure. Does it? Actually, it somewhat does. Crisp berry sweet to grassy hopped aftertaste flowing into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Mostly smooth all around.
Overall, not a bad saison attempting to bring in \"blackberry,\" however, I believe it seems more or less a blend of \"berries\" with a certain acceptable sweetness about it.
