Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-dark milky brown sort of color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma takes on some sweet to roasty coffee tones up front and then dropping some caramel/toffee malts mildly flowing over some nuts. Subtle breadiness at the end.
The flavor seems to stick to the blend of sweet to roast and hitting a sly earthy dryness flowing on into the aftertaste and copying the finish decently.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine as projected.
Overall, nice English brown ale with perhaps a little bit of a coffee sort of twist to enhance the enjoyment a bit more.
