Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-dark amber color with a half finger’s worth of white foamy head. Some messy lace.
The aroma had some semi-spicy hops rolling over some toast, pomme-like fruit and then just a touch of vinous quality.
The flavor blended a slight sour Belgian sort of taste to the sweet to spicy hops. Light banana and then some nuts. All seems to combine decently into the aftertaste and run on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it, if one looks past some of the raw vinous quality almost coming out in an acidic manner. Carbonation seemed alright.
Overall, was the acidic and vinous behavior of the aroma and flavor intentional? I’m not sure.
