Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt copper to almost amber color with a fingerโs worth of white foamy head that glistened and fell off at a decent pace. Slight messy lace.
The aroma had some semi-sweet malty biscuit tones flowing over some toast and an earthy malty quality. Light earthy spice.
The flavor blends the previously mentioned aromas together fairly nice and consists of a fair malty aftertaste and quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Fairly low carbonation and an embracing ABV that seems to stick to what the brewer projected.
Overall, worthy ESB of having again.
