Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The aroma had a mild grassy/herbal/earthy hoppiness up front and then some biscuit/bready malts in the background. Some dry woodiness slides in underneath.
The flavor embraces a malty dried sweetness rolling about. Not much of an aftertaste, somewhat cereal-like and then keeps it that way in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Sly carbonation. ABV felt as projected by the brewer despite being just a tad higher than normal ESB’s.
Overall, pretty good ESB for the most part, I didn’t mind the cereal-like aftertaste or the higher ABV. I could still come back to this.
