Reviewed from notes.
On tap at the brewpub.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-soft dark burnt orange almost amber color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head. No lace.
The aroma had some nuts, somewhat like pecans, then some toffee/caramel malts. Slight grassy and citrusy hops.
The flavor leaves a little bit to be desired - but mainly malty dry with some sweetness. Malty - nutty aftertaste with the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. ABV felt fine.
Overall, mostly worthy amber ale of coming back to - aroma and feel are the best things about this though.
