The appearance was a soft muddy brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had some light sweet to roasty hazelnut up front with some coffee bean roastiness and milk chocolate sweetness. Light herbal hops low in the background.
The flavor was mainly the same as the aroma, leaning towards the sweet side and sliding into the aftertaste spotting the finish in a damp sweet chocolate to hazelnut sort of way.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good ABV.
Overall, worthy coffee/hazelnut brown ale to have again.
