Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a burnt orange/copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that glistened and slid off at a decent pace. Mild lace.
The aroma had a nice English sweet floral blend to somewhat of an American bitter floral hoppiness. Seemed quite different for an English pale ale, but smelled pretty good. Slight earthiness and a light biscuitiness at the end.
The flavor takes the English side of the aroma to meet the American side in a semi-sweet to bitter offering and closing on the aftertaste in a mostly malty sort of way. Quick malty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Good carbonation and ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nicely done pale ale, whether it’s English or American, beats me, just good, worthy of having again.
