The appearance was a dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off fairly quick. Light sliding lace.
The aroma had some roasty malt, light nuts and a mild milk chocolate.
The flavor had some roast and had some sweet. Then a grainy sweetness comes in that I didn’t mind, but that leads into the aftertaste and made it just a tad uncomfortable. Quick roasty sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation and the ABV felt fine, somewhat roasty grind into my tongue.
Overall, decent porter but definitely grinds a bit more into my tongue. Maybe again.
