The appearance was a ruddy burnt dark orange almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light lace.
The aroma had some a damp roasty nuttiness to caramel/toffee malts playing with a light earthy hoppiness as it warms.
The flavor took the nuts and the malts to town to boost the maltiness way in front of the hops. Nicely blended aftertaste and finish.
The feel was about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Ample carbonation and ABV felt fine.
Overall, good brown ale worthy of having again.
