Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white foamy head. Fairly quick dissipation. Some sliding lace.
The aroma had some roast, light coffee tones, dark chocolate, a little bit of earthiness and a touch of grassiness.
The flavor brought it all together fairly nice and pulling in a touch of a light cereal/grainy sort of sweetness at the end. Ends up all seemed to ride into the aftertaste and slide into the finish.
The feel seemed a bit rugged with some of the roast pummeling the sweet smoothness a bit more here. It’s about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty good stout for the most part. I didn’t mind the feel of this one.
