Growlette share.
The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Lace had some speckled stringiness.
The aroma had a good amount of roasted malts up front with some light milk chocolate, some dark chocolate and then a little bit of smoke. Just a touch of earthy hops slide in for the balance.
The flavor blended the roast to the sweet initially and then the smoke and earthiness came in slightly as it continued to warm. Slight nutty to roasty and milk chocolate like aftertaste warms the finish in the same way.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Slight carbonation. Sturdy ABV. Everything seemed like it was there for this one.
Overall, well worth my time for a brown ale that made for a nice Sunday evening.
