Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a muddy burnt amber close to brown color with a thin foamy film of a white head. Light lace.
The aroma had a thick malt core of nuts, caramel, toffee, toast, oats/grains, cereal and milk and dark chocolate nibs. Some earthiness in the hops.
The flavor started with this thick sweetness of the previously mentioned aromas and pummeled the aftertaste fairly thick. Finish kicks in some earthiness but even that is pretty light, seemed to have more of the malts strewn about.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, nicely done brown ale worthy of having again.
