The appearance was a stiff dark amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Not much lace.
The aroma had a decent blend of the toffee/caramel malts playing with some honey and then some floral and grassy hops compliment at the end.
The flavor presented a decent blend of the sweet to the earthiness adding in a touch of herbal quality and then some woodiness just before the aftertaste. Finishes nicely with some of the earthiness and honey.
The feel was roughly medium bodied with a nice smoothness coming about from the honey tones. Woodiness helped dry it out just a bit. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good old ale worthy of having again if I could get it.
