Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some roastiness, some milk chocolate and light tickle of some anise.
The flavor blended everything together fairly nice - good sturdy sweet to good roasty tones. All seemed to blend nicely to ride on into the aftertaste and rolling into the finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Good carbonation about it. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, no complaints from me. They called this \"Classic\" for a reason and it sure was.
