330ml bottle. Pours black like old engine oil & has about as much head. Aroma is huge but mostly sweet cake like notes. Beer is thick & syrupy, sweet & with more of the cake flavour. The nuts are there but little of the barrel woody character.
In the end this is too sweet & with too much cake flavour (the bottle says nothing in English) to be a good stout in my book. Interesting.

Bottle at home. Aroma is caramel fudge, chocolate cake, cognac, dark fruits, cherries, oak, marshmallow, nuts, mocha, raisins, some peat and tobacco in the finish and a hint of booze. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is full. The original is one of my favourite beers, I didn’t enjoy this one as much, the barrel notes (especially cognac) really leave their mark on this beer, which loses some of that big sweet creamy dessert chocolate cake aroma in favour of fruity cognac, mild whiskey peat and oak. Which is fine by me! The base beer is still there, after all. That being said, this is a delicious barrel aged Imperial dessert Stout by itself.

Black with a light brown head. Aroma of wooden barrels, chocolate, dark berries and licorice sense. Sweet with a warm long wooden barrels and chocolate end.

Omnipollo pecan mud cake imperial stout Smell-medium strong to strong, malt, coffee, chocolate, coffee, syrup, sugar, sweet, nice. Foam- thick, malt, roast, sweetness, chocolate, bitter tones, alcohol, cognac? Head is tiny, dark brown color. Appearance- generic black bottle cap, but a nice bottle. Very dark brown, but basically black, very weak carbonation. From- stout glass Taste- sweet, sugary, then roast, alcohol, malt, bitter tones and more sugar, coffee, and chocolate. A potent sweet-roasty stout that does not shy away from alcohol. Quite good, but maybe a bit unbalanced for my taste.

29/8/2020. Bottle courtesy of Nissee666 and shared at the Wroclaw GP bottle share. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly tan coloured head. Aroma of cocoa, milk chocolate, pecans, pecan pie, vanilla. Medium plus sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Full body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Lovely. Beer of the bottle share.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aroma is full of the regular nutty notes, vanilla, icecream, roast, sweet dark fruits, chocolate, subtle fruitiness, malts. Taste is vanilla, pecan, icecream, dark dried fruits, subtle smokey, roasty notes. Sweet fruits, cognac-like sweetness, chocolate, caramel, fudge. Very nice but expected even more from a double barrel beer of off the base that’s that good.
