The appearance was a semi-transparent dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Slight messy sliding lace.
The aroma had sweet and toasted nuts up front with an ample amount of caramel/toffee malts Light earthiness on the back end.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a good toastiness coming about. Light earthy to nutty aftertaste. Sly nutty to toasty finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied, sitting just a touch under with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty good brown ale worthy of coming back to.
