Reviewed from notes.
Was on tap at McGillicuddy’s On the Green (Colchester, VT).
The appearance was a murky golden yellow color with a cap of a little white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Sly lace.
The aroma had some stiff grassy hops playing with a little bit of strawberry sweet bits (guessing from the Barbe Rouge hops). Light biscuits.
The flavor was semi-sweet grabbing a little bit of bitterness to balance softly. Biscuit/bready smoothness to apply itself in the aftertaste and finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, as a blond ale with a hop that sparked a little creativity, this one works. I’d have again.
