From a 330ml can on 20/8/2026. Pours an opaque very deep brown with a smallish, fast disappearing head. Has a typical barley wine, nosed with pronounced toffee, brown sugar and dried and dark fruit notes. The taste is quite plummy with the advertised dates and raisins, along with more brown sugar and toffee. Finishes with a tangy, fruity bitterness. Has a lightly syrupy palate and moderate carbonation. Very solid and enjoyable.
