Anabasis started as a homebrew recipe with far too many malts, blending King Henry's stoicism with the power of Alpine Great, resulting in a Barleywine much bigger than those of that time. Today, we still brew that recipe almost identically, making only the smallest tweaks that leverage what we've learned over the years while brewing and aging this beer.

The 2025 Anabasis was brewed in May of 2024 and aged exclusively in Blanton's barrels. The time spent in oak and the oak itself are identical to the very first blend and have always been a cornerstone of what we want this beer to be.
