Marcus Aurelius is a Triple IPA dosed with a staggering charge of Pacific Northwest hops. Columbus, Nugget, Warrior, Centennial, and Simcoe combine and burst with notes of pine, citrus peel, and bitter hoppiness. Its clear orange appearance and latticework of lacing along the glass are as satisfying to behold as its finish on your palate.

Marcus Aurelius, known as the “philosopher king, ”wielded two swords: duty to the republic and the pursuit of truth. e last of Rome's “five good emperors,” his rule oversaw times of peace, a tumultuous political landscape, and war at its extremities. His greatest legacy, ironically, was never meant to see the light of day. His personal journal, dubbed posthumously “Meditations,” is a central pillar of stoicism.

A work of deep reflection, ruthless self-examination, and a celebration of the human spirit, it is as resonant now as it was then, nearly 2000 years ago. Within its pages lie the inner workings of a great mind that sought to relinquish what one cannot control and instead turn one’s efforts towards the cultivation of virtue and wisdom

Can at home from J and B, Amsterdam, shared with James, 3rd April 2026. Pours clear and golden. Taste is pine and sweet, some bitterness, a bit muddled and not up to the TH normally standard for me

Pours a moderately hazy, peach tea-gold, with mid-sized head. Aroma is quite bready/biscuity, with citrus, some pine. Flavor follows and is pretty sweet, though the ABV is fairly well-hidden. Mouthfeel is fairly crisp and clean. Moderate hop bitterness through the finish.
