Someone call a priest. This year’s rendition was aged in a selection of Buffalo Trace and George Dickel Bourbon barrels. Aromas of coconut and hazelnut are followed by smooth bourbon heat on the palate that’s balanced with a big chewy stout base. Layers of chocolate fudge and vanilla are rounded out with a balanced sweetness.

On tap at Blood Brothers, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is intense, with a ridiculous amount of coconut upfront, followed by subtle hazelnut and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is loaded with a ridiculous amount of coconut, intense sweetness, light hazelnut, and bourbon. That's mostly coconut for me, accentuated by the barrels. Very sweet, but not quite cloying. Excellent, but could be more refined.
