This very original beer has a golden deep color and a slight hazy appearance, while the head is fine and persistent. It release a kaleidoscope of scents that blend into one, pleasant bouquet of fruity, resinous and woody notes, with a subtle touch of incense: a surprise each time the glass is brought to the nose.
The taste of cereals stands out and anticipates notes of apricot, hazelnut and honey. An explosion of tastes brought together by the freshness of ginger and slight hints of citrus fruits, before finishing with notes of spices and malt.

750 ml corked and waxed bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.8%. Hazy deep golden to amber cour, large white head. Very interesting spicy and exotic aroma, notes of incense, does indeed fulfill the brewer’s intentions of bringing some the smells of the Middle East. Also notes of yeast. Interesting flavour too, complex spicy notes, fairly refreshing. The spiciness is never sharp nor burning. Intentionally lightly hopped to bring the spicy notes up front, but a little more hops would not hurt. The finish is too perfumed and "soapy", and ruins much of the pleasure for me.

Herbal nose. Hazy pale amber colour, a lot of tiny bubbles, fair frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma herbs, yeast, light caramel, light orange, peach, overripe apple, herbal notes. Fruity taste, medium sweet and slightly bitter, malty, grainy, light orange, biscuit, herbal notes, gradually more spicy accents (esp. on the tongue). Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste fruity sweet (not sugary), very light bitter notes, some caramel, grainy touch, lingering spicy notes. Very interesting brew, much less herbal than expected, smooth mouthfeel, easy to drink, very nice.
