This beer is brewed to be mellow and smooth with very subtle notes of roast and chocolate on the undertone. This beer is not nearly as intense as a porter or a stout, but has a deep black colour. If you are looking for something slightly complex, but with a nice drinkability, this may be the one for you.

From tap at Molo Brew, Ålesund, 31.05.26. Dark brown, almost ebony. Beige head. Fine aroma and taste of rosted malt, tobacco, liquorice, coffee and chocolate. Dry mouthfeel.

330ml draught at Ølhallen, kindly shared by Finn. Almost black in the glass under a beige head, scattered lacing. Quite inviting aromas of chocolate malts, lightly roasted. Malt-forward taste of chocolate malts and a backdrop of liquorice. Smoothly roasted malty ending. Celebrating St Patricks Day. (Tromsø, 17.03.2026).
