Otter Bright was one of the original really pale beers. ‘Bright’ made her debut in the summer of ’96 but has since earned a regular place in our full time line up. Originally designed to tempt lager drinkers from the dark-side, now a well respected trendsetter in the UK.

So what can you expect when you line up your first pint of Otter Bright. Its pale golden colour enhances the great condition of the beer. The strong, citrus fruit aroma follows through into a refreshingly fruity, tasty beer. A subtle bitterness at the end balances the sweeter notes.

Bottle. Light flowery aroma. Earthy hoppy flavor. Watery, but not unpleasant. Hint of pear. Blonde, hazy.

Bottle at home with a pizza. Well chilled with lots of malt, nice abrasive hops and a slight, but welcome sweetness. Good drinkability.

Cask at Jolly Sailor, Farnham. Vague malty aroma. Pale gold. Thin translucent white head. Medium sweet. Very fruity and sugary. Some malt and a hint of bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick, with some stickiness to the mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Long finish. Surprisingly enjoyable. Thought it was going to be completely average I like it's fruitiness.

Cask at the Bull and Blacksmith, Chillington, Devon. Pale gold with a white head. Very light but rather sharp citrus flavour. Overall another dull, pointless golden ale.
