Our spin on the Belgian farmhouse classic. Saison DuWha? is Pilsner malt based with a touch of Crystal and Vienna for a bit of backbone. Spiced with coriander, ginger root, lemon peel and orange peel to add a fruity aroma. Late boil additions of Spalt hops, as well as lower fermentation temperature enhance the spicy, zesty, and dry finish.

Draft at Smoke and Barrel. Clear bright golden color. Big coriander aroma on a citrus background. Taste is funky with heavy spice. Interesting.

Northeast Bucket List Trip Beer #1. Keg at the brewpub. Pours a hazy straw color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready malt, ginger, lime zest, coriander. The taste is tropical fruits, lime, citrus, coriander, ginger, bready malt. Medium bodied, zesty, dry, well balanced.
Yes, I come up with a corny name for all my beer trips. This one is because I plan to move West in 2016, and I’m knocking things off the East Coast bucket list. Visiting Maine for the first time, visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame, not to mention visiting three good friends. So, that’s the explanation for this trip’s name, and this was a nice beer to start.

Draft at the brewpub. Pouered a very light hazy yellow-orange color with a small, wispy white head (friend had more of a head on his). Aroma was some light funk, light lemon peel, mild citrus and tropical fruits. Nice funky character, easy to drink - spices are quite bold but not overpowering.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy gold with an off white head. Banana nose. Flavors of banana and cardamom. Smooth finish.

Draft at the source. Pours a hazy apricot orange with about a finger off-white head. Aromas of funk, citrus fruit and peel, tropical fruit. Tasting notes of citrus, funk, tropical fruit, lemon/orange peel, stone fruit. Medium body with low carbonation.
