Cask at Antwaerps Bierhuiske. Shocked and awed to finally find this! Pretty red with a fine cask head. Rich barrel nose, vinegar, yogurt, vanilla, cherry, caramel. Mildly sour flavor with nice fruit and yogurt. Very nice, and much more drinkable than expected.

Hazy dark amber with a lasting, creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, cherry, dried fruit, dusty cellar and a bit of funk. Sour lavour with cherry and cellar notes with a bit of sharp vinegar

my final rodenbach !! at the palm brewerie with my sister pours redish-brown, white foam. smells like a sour rodenbach. flat, sour, very balanced. a better version of vin de cereal :)

On tap at Belgian Beer Weekend, Brussels. Pours a hazy amber colour with a nice and big compact light beige head. The aroma is sour with wood, black currants and sour berries. A more classic flemish bruin in the flavour with leather, oak and bitter berries. Light and slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. Little bit untypical aroma but a great taste.

Tap @ Brussels Beer Weekend, 2012. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Nose is marzipan, almond a bit of earth and caramel. Flavor is oak, cherries and acetone. Crisp, dry, fruity and tart. Nice.

Zythos Bierfestival 2012, Leuven, Belgium. Pours clear copper with gold edges and firm tan head. The aroma is pushing up big sour and tart notes quickly getting sour with vinegar. The taste has a brief smooth sweet sort of neutral note that quickly gets run over by balsamic vinegar and then salty body sweat. Cool stuff as all these notes come together with richness and harmony. This isn’t real intense in vinegar but rich and runs into bitterness that dries it out with very little after taste. A sour I can dig.

Yellow amber colour, light white head. Aroma of wood, apple, malts. Rather sour. Tart flavour, wood astringent, lactic acid, loads of wood. Very dry. Strong carbonation, dry, tart finish, wood.
Very nice and outspoken beer. Love this stuff!

Cask @ ZBF’12. Orangée brumeuse, col épais blanc/beige. Arôme est pure vinaigre restant somme tout modéré avec pas mal de note terreuse, malté et balsamique, tout cela sur un bouquet boisé de foudre de chêne. En bouche, profile vinaigre couvre le tout laissant un côté balsamique se faufiler. Le tout débute sur un palais malté/grains voire avec une pointe sucrée, la gorgée se suit pas un vinaigre venant recouvrir la fin de bouche qui persiste.Le tout sur ce côté boisé, chêne moyennement épicé. Sans être trop agressive au palais, la bière est déjà une belle étape dans le style des rouges flamandes. Dommage que le verre se termine si vite. Que dire? grandiose, et on en redemande.
