light reddish. Filtered. Sour apple, honey jam and raspberries. Insanely juicy. Like grapefruit and grape juice Welch’s like with a sweet inish

Bottle sample at Moonlight Meadery, pours a clear copper. Aroma brings out lightly tart red currants and medium sweet honey nectar. Flavour reveals the bright red currants upfront, with medium sweetness. Nicely constructed, with lots of red currant sweetness on the finish. Very good.

Bottle from the source. Brilliantly clear burnt orange color with a smattering of bubbles when first poured, Slightly floral sweet honey with light bits of fruity oxidation and hints of tart currant to round it all out. Pretty tasty mead.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a slight red hue and no head whatsoever. Aroma combines dry honey, slightly tart red currant and a bit of booze underlying. Flavor has lots of red currant with some dry honey and a hint of tartness in the finish.

Older Bottle. Pours with a clear deep rust hued body with a touch of bubbles (despite no evident carbonation). Aromas are of deep fruit, dehydrated berries, lightly funky darker currants. Flavors are jammy, tannic and lightly metallic. Lots of curranty, ripe and slightly funky character. Vinous, lots of sweetness to round it out. Biscuity, decent acidity. Overall, decent [not a fruit I really enjoy] red currant character on a clean base
