Bitters and Milds, Milds and Bitters…styles made famous by the British and revisited by us
because we enjoy recreating and drinking English styles. The light shines through the dark copper in your glass. Aromas of earthy hops, deeply caramelized sugars and a little roasty coffee and chocolate overflow and waft into your face. The flavors balance the bitter, sweet, and roast beautifully, while lacing coats your glass. The alcohol is light and barely pushing 5%. The finish rounds into a malty, hoppy mouthful leaving you looking for another sip.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark maroon to almost dark brown color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some mild lace
Aroma: smooth caramel/toffee malts, rich nuttiness, roasty coffee tones, earthy hops, subtle chocolate further underneath
Flavor: melds the prior mentioned aromas very nicely, swift aftertaste of earthiness and malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable, smooth along tongue, finishes semi-dry and smooth
Overall: not bad for an ESB, and fairly different as if it's a modern take on an ESB. I'd come back to.
