Our first triple-barrel stout blend has emerged. After double-barreling, three special barrels were blended together and then finished in 3 wet Braids Apple Brandy casks. This blend is big, the aroma saturates the air, the beer stains the glass, and it warms your collar bone.
Individual Skulls is made from one of the triple barrel-aged stouts. All 3 barrels were aged in Heaven Hill and Willett Family Reserve bourbon barrels before being blended back together, then the blend was racked into a single Sauternes cask for 7 months aging. Individual Skulls immediately saturates the senses with rich aromas of dates, cherries, chocolate, and oak. The palate follows suit with choc full of 85% cacao nibs, dark caramel, very elegant oak, and a finish that presents derived baking spice.
234 Duke Heaven Hill / 9mo, Sauternes / 7mo
