35,5cl can from Systembolaget, Stockholm. Pours close to pitch black with a moderate sized, brown head. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark, dried fruits and hops. Medium sweet with high flavour intensity and pleasantly bitter finish. Smooth, warming and flavourful. Quite delicious!

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 20C). Can 35.5 cl - Batch 25L195 18:02 (BB: undeclared - canned on 9/3/25). AROMA: medium-high dark malt aroma (chocolate, cocoa, faint coffee) and low vinous note on the background as well as a somewhat sweet character. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color to black and opaque. medium-low light brown head, creamy with style-average retention. leg formation. TASTE: initial medium dark dried fruits, medium chocolate, slight coffee and vinous-like note. evolves into a high burnt finish. initial medium-sweet with medium-high bitterness from hops and dark malts. finishes semi-dry to dry and burnt. MOUTHFEEL: full body with medium-low carbonation. smooth alcoholic warmth that changes to hot. slight astringency. OVERALL: an imperial stout with nice complexity notes that are overwhelmed by a strong roasted barley presence giving it too much burnt notes.

From can @ tasting Black Night 2025. Head is medium, tanned, average retention. Colour is dark, opaque. Aroma is dark malts, chocolate, cocoa, dark fruits. Taste is full malty base, cocoa, chocolate, bit alcohol, dark fruits, soft carbonation, good not great.

Can, thx to Cunningham for muling. 9.6% ABV. Pleasant aroma and flavor with roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee notes and some caramel hints. Quite dry actually, but there's some residual sweeentess. Nice indeed. 747415 260118
