Crisp, clean-tasting, full-bodied beer in the German Ale Style. Notes of sweet bread on the nose, with a malty flavor and a nutty, bittersweet finish.

Pour is a bright amber with a large white head. Aroma is tootsie roll and baked bread. Flavor is a nice toasted grain with some caramel malt with a little tobacco on the finish. Nice example of a style that does not get much love.

Aromas are dark malt, toffee and a hint of toast. Flavors are similar to nose. Just very slightly more sweet than bitter with good carbonation. Straightforward beer, nothing fancy but good.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear amber pour, thin creamy beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, mild sweetness. Taste is bready, malty, toffee, dry. Sweetness fades fast. Abrupt finish.

Can to stange.
Appearance: ruddy burnt copper color with some transparency about it, two and a half fingers of white foamy head took it's time to slide off and leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet bready to earthy tones, subtle floral hop setting, some nutty tones
Flavor: copies the aromas in a bittersweet and toasty fashion; nice aftertaste of nuts, earthy character and bready/biscuity claims
Texture: full bodied with some sessionability about it; fairly smooth; finishes crisp and bittersweet
Overall: I like this as an altbier and would seek out again.
