Bottle at the Nook. Pours light orange with very little head. The aroma is toffee, chocolate malt, vanilla, and butterscotch. The flavor is malty sweetness, and boozy warming. The palate is medium to heavy, grainy and clean. Overall, this is a very delicious malt bomb, with an astonishing aroma, and good palate.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden, honey color with a thin, off-white head that dissipates very quickly. There’s not much of an aroma, but I did pick up hints of hay, spices, and fruit. Taste is lightly sweet with a thin body and lively carbonation. Finish is sweet.

Overall, this is an adequate beer. It’s fine for hanging out at a friend’s bar-b-que or pool party, but that’s about it.

Caramel brown in color with an off-white head. Strong caramel, toffee, toasted malt, and a very liquid malt extract aroma. Body is thiner than expected with a bit of a carbonation bite. Flavor has toasted malt, toffee, caramel, and some earth. A decent beer.

Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governor's Island, 6/19/10

Aroma: The nose is some sweet malts, bread, caramel, and a bit of hops.
Appearance: This beer pours an amber color into the glass.
Flavor: Similar characteristics to the nose, but with just a little more power to it.
Palate: It has a really quite nice mouthfeel, medium bodied with a quite solid finish to it.
Overall Impression: I thought this was a solid Amber-style beer. That would be the style I would probably classify this under, by Scottish works alright too. Anyway, decent stuff, the palate would be the stand-out portion of it for me, everything else is decent as well though.

Bottle: Poured a caramel brown with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, a bit grain. Taste is sweet toasted malt with a wet caramel finish. Leave the mouth dry and slight hopped.

tap pours light brown with a thin white head. Lots of smoke and carmel on the nose. Some sweet carmel and a bit doughy......lots of scotch notes....nice and mellow.
