On tap at That Beer Place, Chester. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small scummy cream head and good lacing. There’s roasted malts, caramel and dark fruits in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet but with quite strong underlying bitterness and a creamy texture. Flavour has malts, bitter hops and dark fruits – with some hints of chocolate coming later. Bitterness to the fore in the dry finish. This is decent – if a little thin.
