Abita Wrought Iron® IPA embodies the resilient, indestructible nature of New Orleans. This india pale ale is forged with the intensity of Apollo, Ekuanot and Mosaic Hops. Brewed with pale ale malt for a golden color as bright as iron from a fiery forge. Wrought Iron® IPA pairs well with grilled meats like steaks or pork chops. Grilled sausages are great too, with some spicy mustard on the side. It also pairs well with the spice, meat and seafood in jambalaya. A mild goat cheese is an excellent choice with Wrought Iron® IPA.

Hazy medium amber under a two finger white head that leaves patchy lace. Nose is pine and tropical fruit with a light caramel backing. Light sweet with a medium+ bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation. Nice west coast IPA. 8/3+/7/3+/15-

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20170525) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, caramel and bread. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, caramel, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Was it the age of the keg or is this beer really sweet and bready?

Bottle from total wine. Golden possibly slightly hazy but who can tell at this point. Smell is too syprupy and meh. Taste is crisper than I thought but follows with this artificial IPA syrup that seem to in rampant. Pine and citrus hops, but contentrayed and over the top. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Almost clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has modest fine carbonation. Slight sweet malts, touch of grain. Ripe orange hops. Malty finish. Feels very tired even though it’s 9 months inside the BBE.

12 fl oz bottle. Unclear dark golden, maybe with copper elements in the glass and a nearly two finger head. Floral hop on the nose. Strong hopy bitterness at the start, some resin, light roasted malt. Strong malty in the middle part. Fruity sweetness to the end, overlaying by the bitterness and alcoholic sharpness in the aftertaste. A really complex IPA. Nice.
